Delta Grandeur celebrates and shares the extraordinary grandeur and diversity of California's Delta, an endangered ecosystem. Produced through the eye and vision of photographer Rich Turner, the Delta is vast in its agricultural bounties and is vital in supplying one of our most necessary natural resources: fresh water.

The Delta is an expansive inland river system and the largest estuary on the West Coast of the Americas. Through vibrant imagery, this exhibition explores the complex relationship that humans and wildlife have forged with the Delta. The future of the Delta's water is currently being debated and the outcome will impact all Californians.

Photographs by Rich Turner, a fine art, commercial and aerial photographer based in the California's Central Valley. Delta Grandeur exhibition text is a collaboration with Christina Swanson, Ph.D, Director of the Science Center Natural Resources Defense Council. The Natural Resources Defense Council is an environmental organization that works to safeguard the earth—its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends.

The exhibition includes:

  • 36 framed, color photographs approximately 16" h x 20" w
  • Canvas banners with graphic and text
  • Delta Grandeur photographic book by Rich Turner for display
  • Exhibition press kit with digital images

This exhibition is supported by Port of Stockton, River Islands at Lathrop, Financial Center Credit Union, Pacific SouthWest Irrigation Corporation, Arnaiz Construction, Victoria Island Farms, San Francisco Estuary Partnership, Red River Paper, and Valley Moulding, and Rogene Reynolds.
